When my son was born in 2001 I started a tradition of going to Starbucks with him every Sunday. When he was a baby I would just read and enjoy some quiet time with a nice cup of coffee. As he got older I would read to him, color and play games. The staff got to know him and they always doted on him. When my daughter was born we continued the tradition (a bit more challenging and not exactly the relaxing visit it once was). By the time my daughter was 2 and my son 6 it was something they really looked forward to. My kids are now 8 and 12 and while we don’t get there every weekend, we do go often.
It came no surprise to me when my son at age 6 asked to be a Starbucks cup for Halloween. I thought it was a great idea. I decided to make Starbucks costumes for the entire family. Venti, Grande and Tall cups for myself and the kids. I bought an apron and hat off ebay for husband and he became the barista!
So adorable — the family AND the costumes!!!
