There is always seems to be a “right” way and a “wrong” way to do everything… right? Well… I am not always so sure. If the towels are folded and fit in the closet who cares? .. but the way people in my house load a dishwasher is another story. There really is right way to do that. So maybe there is a right way to do just about everything….. but a right way to eat a hamburger?
I certainly never gave thought to the “right” or the “wrong” way to eat a hamburger!
Apparently Japanese Scientists pondered this age old question… and they found that eating a burger in just any haphazard way inefficient and messy. Who knew? Of course I have been eating it the “wrong” way! They actually spent hours researching the best way to hold a hamburger while eating it. So before you kick off your summer grilling season you need to learn a few tricks from the video below to make sure that you are neat and efficient – sorry it won’t help you make a better tasting burger though!
From the AV Club “Ultimately, though, the group concluded that there is one solid, preferred way to eat a burger: thumbs and pinkies on the bottom, middle three fingers on top. The uniformly spread fingers help keep the burger together at all times, thus keeping the contents from mushing out preemptively.”

I would like to have been one of the people doing the testing and eating all those hamburgers! I love hamburgers and could eat them every day or wish I could. I usually end up looking like the guy with the messy hands so I must be doing it wrong!:)
